Last year, I mentioned that invoicing and payments were on the way. They are now available in the Pocpod online portal, so you can manage the job and its customer payment in one place.
From a transport job to an invoice
You can start a billing arrangement while creating a job, or add one to an existing job later. Pocpod suggests a price using your saved distance rate; you can review the amount, tax and customer details before confirming anything. You can also group several jobs for the same customer in one arrangement.
Saving a new job with billing selected creates a draft, not an invoice sent to the customer. That gives you a chance to check the charges and payment terms first.
Choose a deposit or one final payment
If you need a deposit, you can issue a deposit invoice now and invoice the remaining balance later. The deposit is part of the agreed total, not an extra charge. If you do not need a deposit, the arrangement can instead produce one invoice for the full amount.
Costs that arise during the work can be added to the final invoice before it is issued. You can choose to issue that invoice automatically when the linked jobs are complete, or review and issue it yourself.
Follow payment progress in the portal
Stripe provides the secure customer payment page and processes the payment. Pocpod shows the deposit and final invoices together with their linked jobs, so you can see what has been paid and what remains due. You can open an invoice or copy its payment link from the arrangement.
Stripe normally emails an issued invoice when invoice emails are enabled on your connected Stripe account. Check the delivery status in Pocpod before assuming your customer has received it.
Ready to try it?
Start with Invoicing → Billing Setup in the online portal and complete the guided Stripe setup. Then review your defaults under Settings → Billing. Our invoicing and payments guide walks through setup, creating a draft, deposits, final invoices and cancellations.
There is no upfront Pocpod charge for invoicing. When a customer pays, Pocpod charges 2.5% plus VAT where applicable, and Stripe’s separate processing and invoicing fees also apply. The one-month Premium trial covers the subscription charge only; it does not waive these payment fees. See the full terms for details.
